Problem Statement
Our client, is a mid-tier gold producer. The company was reporting with Excel, with each department responsible for completing their sheet in a single Excel file that was eventually distributed to the General Manager and department managers. Each department also had their own internal reporting requirements. Significant number of man-hours were spent manipulating data, copying and pasting between different sheets and files and validating manual entry errors.
The client wanted an automated system where data is entered once and flows to the required reports. The ultimate goals of the project were to provide managers with dynamic, actionable reports that required fewer man-hours to generate.
